Man Threatening Suicide Forces Four Schools Into Lockdown

Life is back to normal -- at four Taylorsville schools -- following a lockdown, Monday morning.

Authorities took the action as a precaution, after a man phoned police, claiming he had a gun...was suicidal...and could see a school, from his home.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says, when authorities finally reach the man -- at his home, near 29th West 58th South -- he did not have a gun...and there was no evidence he ever did.

The man was taken to an area hospital -- for a psychiatric evaluation -- as the lockdown, at the schools, was lifted.
