A spectacular fall weekend drew lots of people into the Wasatch Front mountains.
But at least two of them required search and rescue assistance, to get back home.
In Sandy's Bell Canyon, a man fell off the trail and injured his leg. Emergency responders spent about an hour getting to him. He was hooked to a helicopter hoist, to be taken off the mountain.
Also, a couple, on a mountain climbing date, ended up spending Saturday night in a shack -- at the Mt. Timpanogos summit -- after the woman injured her knee. Rescuers spent the night with them, before she too was helicoptered off the mountain, Sunday.
Both hikers are expected to make full recoveries.
