Brigham City Apartment Fire Displaces Eleven Families

AUTHORITIES IN BRIGHAM CITY SAY, ELEVEN FAMILIES WERE DISPLACED TUESDAY, AFTER A FIRE SPREAD THROUGH AN APARTMENT COMPLEX.

POLICE LT. DENNIS VINCENT SAYS FLAMES WERE SHOOTING THROUGH THE ROOF -- AND OUT THE WINDOWS -- BY THE TIME FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED, ABOUT 7:30 MONDAY NIGHT.

NO ONE WAS INJURED; BUT EIGHT OF THE APARTMENT UNITS ARE BELIEVED TO BE A TOTAL LOSS.

THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS STILL BEING INVESTIGATED TUESDAY.  DAMAGE ESTIMATES ARE $125,000 TO $150,000.

THE RED CROSS -- AND THE L-D-S CHURCH -- ARE ASSISTING THE EVACUATED FAMILIES.
