Lindon Business Fire Forces Hundreds to Evacuate

FIREFIGHTERS -- FROM SEVERAL UTAH COUNTY AGENCIES -- WERE CONTINUING TO BATTLE A BLAZE IN THE VIVINT BUILDING, AT 5TH SOUTH, 5TH WEST, IN LINDON, TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

AUTHORITIES SAY, THE FIRE WAS REPORTED JUST AFTER 9 IN THE MORNING.  IT APPEARED TO BE CONTAINED TO THE ROOF AREA.

LINDON POLICE CHIEF CODY CULLIMORE SAYS, A COUPLE OF PEOPLE SUFFERED MINOR SMOKE INHALLATION...AND A FIREFIGHTER WAS ALSO TAKEN FROM THE SCENE BY AMBULANCE, WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES.

HUNDREDS OF EMPLOYEES WERE EVACUATED.

THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS STILL UNKNOWN.
