Our Dry Summer Has Given Way to a Wet September

Just three months ago, weather watchers told us it was the driest June in Salt Lake history.

But at the midway point of September, the trend has changed.

Our capitol city normally receives 1.21 inches of rain, during this 9th month of the year.

But as of September 15th, 1.01 inches of rain had been measured -- or nearly 85 percent of the monthly average.

The rain has caused isolated flooding issues in several locations.
