Salt Lake Lawyer, Two Sons, Make Court Appearance on Drug Charges

A FORMER LAWYER, IN THE SALT LAKE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE -- WHO IS ACCUSED OF MAKING A MARIJUANA BYPRODUCT, IN HIS BASEMENT, WITH HIS TWO ADULT SONS -- MADE HIS FIRST COURT APPEARANCE, THURSDAY.

JAMES ROBINSON, 50, WAS BRIEFLY IN A SALT LAKE CITY COURTROOM, ALONG WITH HIS SONS: ALEXANDER, 21, AND ZACHARY, 18.

EACH IS CHARGED WITH OPERATING A CLANDESTINE LABORATORY, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE -- WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE -- AND POSSESSION OR USE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.

CITY OFFICIALS SAY JAMES ROBINSON WAS TERMINATED LAST MONTH, SIX DAYS AFTER HIS ARREST.

THE MEN ARE ACCUSED OF MANUFACTURING A MARIJUANA BYPRODUCT CALLED "DAB" OR "SHATTER" ...WHICH SELLS FOR MORE MONEY THAN REGULAR MARIJUANA.
