University of Utah to Open Campus in South Korea

SOUTH KOREAN EDUCATION OFFICIALS HAVE APPROVED PLANS, FOR A UNIVERSITY OF UTAH CAMPUS, SCHEDULED TO OPEN THIS FALL.

THE KOREAN MINISTRY OF EDUCATION HAS ANNOUNCED, THE CAMPUS WILL OFFER UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES IN SOCIAL WORK, COMMUNICATION AND PSYCHOLOGY...ALONG WITH A GRADUATE DEGREE, IN PUBLIC HEALTH.

U-OF-U OFFICIALS HOPE TO ENROLL 2000 STUDENTS THERE, WITHIN SIX YEARS.

STATE TAX DOLLARS ARE NOT BEING USED FOR THE PROJECT.

THE "U" IS ONE OF FOUR -- U.S. AND EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES -- INVITED, BY THE KOREAN GOVERNMENT, TO OPEN A CAMPUS THERE.
