Volunteers and Humana Create New West Valley City Park

A WEST VALLEY CITY APARTMENT COMPLEX -- FOR LOW INCOME RESIDENTS -- HAS A BRAND NEW COMMUNITY PARK TODAY...THANKS TO THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS COMPANY, HUMANA, AND ABOUT 2-HUNDRED VOLUNTEERS.

IN JUST SIX HOURS OVER THE WEEKEND, THEY CREATED THE PARK -- FROM AN EMPTY FIELD -- NEAR 12TH WEST, 35TH SOUTH.

HUMANA REGIONAL PRESIDENT ORAIDA ROMAN SAYS, APARTMENT RESIDENTS -- INCLUDING KIDS -- HELPED PLAN THE NEW PARK.

IT INCLUDES FITNESS STATIONS AND WALKING PATHES, FOR OLDER PEOPLE...ALONG WITH PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR KIDS...AND A PICNIC AREA FOR EVERYONE.

HUMANA IS CONSTRUCTING A TOTAL OF NINE PARKS, LIKE THIS ONE, ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
