West Valley Man Hospitalized After Hitting Moose

A 61-YEAR-OLD WEST VALLEY CITY MAN IS EXPECTED TO RECOVER, AFTER DRIVING INTO A MOOSE, NEAR STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR.

THE UTAH HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTS, THE VICTIM WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 40, WHEN THE MOOSE STEPPED INTO HIS LANE.

THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO STOP... AND HIT THE ANIMAL, SENDING IT UP ONTO HIS HOOD... CAUSING THE WINDSHIELD AND ROOF TO CAVE IN.

THE MOOSE WAS KILLED... WHILE THE MAN SUFFERED CUTS AND BRUISES.

THE DRIVER WAS TAKEN TO INTERMOUNTAIN MEDICAL CENTER, BY HELICOPTER, WHERE HE WAS LISTED IN STABLE CONDITION.
