This was my 3rd trip to Lake Powell. September is by FAR the best time of the year to visit in my opinion!
The trip was on my buddy's house boat. If you live in North Ogden, you've probably seen his signs all over town. RJP Construction!
That's Ron on the left, then my friend Heather, me, Todd and Jackie, 2 other friends.
Abs and I just up on top of the rocks from where our house boat was.
The first of many rock shots. I took a lot of pictures. The scenery is so amazing in Lake Powell.
Another shot from up on the rocks, right behind where our houseboat was.
We stood up on the rocks and shouted from here. About 5-6 seconds later, it'd echo back at you. WAY cool.
As you can see, the color, especially in early morning was breathtaking!
There was a cool little fishing spot right down off the rocks right here.
LOVED how you could climb up the rocks and get up really high.
Some cool cactus I found...
Out for a spin on the boat...
This was up Vodoo Canyon. Ron and Sue took us here one afternoon. Very cool place. Everyone who visits signs this little notebook to show you were there.
Someone left this behind at one point.
"Garden of Eden"
This was probably my prized shot that afternoon. Kinda looks like an iceberg, doesn't it?
An even better view as we made our way around the corner...
Storm moving in late Saturday evening. Nonetheless, the view was still pretty spectacular!
A rainbow appeared as the weather was starting to clear.
This is called "Karen's Crack" for those of you who've never been. It still blows me away to think that we climbed up this. About half way up, you go between the rocks and into this amazing long rock hallway!!!
